This Photo: I've never really seen anyone else shoot this cityscape view of Portland, with the Union Station in the foreground, but I like it and I've shot it a number of times. That's McCormick Pier Condos in the foreground.

Union Station: Portland's Union Station is over 100 years old and was re-modeled in the 1990's The area around the station has recently flourished after years of seedy activity. The trendy Pearl District is adjacent to the station and new condos and apartments are popping up all around it. This station serves only Amtrak trains now, which unfortunately seem to be reduced every year. The most regular passenger service is from Eugene to Seattle through Portland, which runs several times a day and takes about 3.5 hours.

US Bancorp Tower: Also known as "big pink" - the 2nd tallest skyscraper in Portland at 536 feet. The building opened in 1983.
