Location: Portland, Oregon
Pittock Mansion: This was the grand home of Henry Pittock, the first real publisher of the Oregonian newspaper. The mansion at one point was damaged by a storm and run down but was purchased and restored in the 1960's by a non-profit foundation in conjunction with the city of Portland. Today you can tour the mansion itself, but you also take in the amazing views of the city of Portland as well as view Mt. Saint Helens and Mt. Hood. The grounds of the mansion are a wonderful place to spend a warm spring afternoon.
This Shoot: Pittock Mansion in the spring, both in the morning and later that same day.
