Location: San Francisco, California
This Photo: Statue of Joseph Strauss, the chief designer of the Golden Gate Bridge. Keep in mind that dozens of other engineers and skilled workers as well as thousands of other people worked on the bridge project. In the 1930's it was common also for respected bridge engineers to consult in a minor role on someone else's project.
San Francisco Bridges: San Francisco is lucky to have two beautiful suspension bridges, the Golden Gate Bridge and the Bay Bridge, both built in the 1930's. The Golden Gate is the most well-known and popular, but the Bay Bridge is the more impressive engineering achievement.
This Shoot: These San Fancisco Bridge photos were shot on a single day and evening when the sky was obviously crystal clear.
