Measure 44: Allows Any Oregon Resident without Prescription Drug Coverage to Participate in Oregon Prescription Drug Program
Amends Constitution? NO

Basic Summary: Oregon has a Prescription Drug Program to allow poor people and the elderly to get cheaper prescription drugs by bargaining for volume discounts (so it's a discount not a free drug give-away). Measure 44 simply removes the eligibility requirement and allows anyone who doesn't have prescription drug coverage to participate in this program. Expanding the program costs the state nothing.
