Portland, Oregon

Portland, Oregon is a neat little city - not overwhelmingly large, relatively safe, easty to navigate. The city itself has beautiful parks, but not far from the city are gorgeous natural areas and scenery: the Oregon Coast is just over an hour away, as is Mt. Hood, where you can ski more than half the year.
